An inconvenient challenge
Posted in Uncategorized on June 11th, 2008 | Tags: al gore, climate change, czech republic, global warming, vaclav klausCzech Republic President Vaclav Klaus, whose new book shoots holes through global warming mythology, has challenged Al Gore to a shootout on the science, merit and motives of the International Left’s all-out buy-in to the ongoing climate-change religion.
Check Mr. laus’s challenge out at http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/208338,czech-president-klaus-ready-to-debate-gore-on-climate-change.html .
This is of more than passing interest to (a) those of us who thought that its lust for world domination died off with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and (b) we advocates of international economic development and prosperity via laissez-faire capitalism and global free trade.
But don’t bet on the High Priest of Hot Air to take him up on it. The executive-jet-setting Mr. Gore has so far refused any and all requests to discuss, let alone debate, the shaky premise on which his career was resurrected from a lifetime of mediocrity.
